Awards

West Sussex based beauty salon Total Beauty had reason to celebrate this week as they were announced as finalists for this year’s exclusive British Beauty Awards.

Total Beauty have been voted as finalists in the category; Marketing Strategy, sponsored by Lycon Precision Waxing, in the highly acclaimed British Beauty Awards, which is a fantastic achievement Health & Beauty Salon magazine launched the British Beauty Awards in 1997 to raise the profile of the professional beauty industry by recognising and rewarding innovation and excellence throughout the industry. “Dedication and commitment to excellence is something that has been shown by every finalist,” commented Editor-in-Chief of Health & Beauty Salon, Jayne Lewis-Orr. “All of the finalists represent the best the beauty industry has to offer in their chosen skill areas – whether it is body therapy, aromatherapy, electrolysis, marketing or retailing. Success in this market is not only determined by practical skills, but also by business acumen – the British Beauty Awards reward and recognise both of these skills. To achieve finalist status in the awards is a tremendous testimony to Total Beauty.”

The judging for the British Beauty Awards takes place over two days, where representatives from the sponsoring companies, along with industry experts are split into groups to read through the dossiers, ensuring that the criteria is met before selecting the six finalists in each category. Judges cannot confer with one another during the judging process, with the individual judges marking all entries independently.

Total Beauty will now be competing against five other salons in their categories at the Grand Final of the British Beauty Awards, which are being held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on Sunday 17th October 2004.

Owner of Total Beauty, Karen Neale was absolutely delighted to hear the news of their finalist nominations and exclaimed; “2004 has been an absolutely incredible year for the salon. To be recognised amongst your peers for having one of the country’s leading salons is a wonderful feeling and achievement. It is also a real buzz for our team and all of our clients who work and visit the salon.”
